Clearing up flying (airport) queries (British Airways)?
Can anyone who has flown with BA confirm that I am allowed to bring with me, for example, and average ordinary bag (on your back) with you on the plane. And a small suitcase/sports bag that goes into cargo.
Also, this may sound stupid, but I have a pencil case that has, I guess sharpish objects in it like,
pencils etc Are these allowed?
And finally, any tips for first time solo flyers? Like this will be the first time I’ll go through a security check etc

Yes, your bag is fine as long as it’s small enough to fit in the overhead compartments. You can check the BA website for the dimensions.
Your pencils are fine.
If you bring any liquids through security, they have to be 3.4oz/100mL containers or less and inside a quart/liter sized plastic ziptop bag.
I’m not sure about UK security procedures, but in the US, they make us take off our shoes and take all coats off. At this time, you need to have your Government issued photo ID and your boarding pass.
